Kommersnt: Kishinev is trying to find an alternative to Gazprom supplies

For the first time in its history Moldova has purchased gas from an alternative supplier to "Gazprom" - a small amount of 1 million cubic meters of gas will be purchased from the Polish PGNiG. "Gazprom has offered Chisinau to supply up to 5 million cubic meters per day additionally at the price of the current contract, i.e. about $800 per thousand cubic meters. But the company has not started deliveries after the Moldovan government stated it would not recognize its historical debt to Gazprom of $709 million, according to Kommersant sources.
