The Sibantratsit passed to new owners
It was bought by the company of Albert Avdolyan and Maxim Barsky for $1 billion.
Dmitry Bosov's heirs sold the coal company Sibantratsit to Albert Avdolyan and Mr. Bosov's former business partner Maxim Barsky. Representatives of Albert Avdolyan's companies joined the Board of Directors, but Dmitry Aga, Maxim Barsky and Igor Makarov managed to keep their seats. This is yet another asset in Albert Avdolyana's coal empire, which includes the Elga deposit and is to include the Ogodzhinskoye deposit and the port of Vera.
The company reports that after the deal was closed, the new Board of Directors of the coal company was elected. It includes Albert Avdolyan, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Elgaugol", and a number of representatives of his structures: the General Director of Albert Avdolyan's group "A-Property" Irina Belyanova, General Director of "Globaltek" Rodion Sokrovschuk and General Director of "Elgaugol" Alexander Isayev. Dmitry Aga, Maxim Barsky and Igor Makarov retained their seats on the board of directors.
"Sibantratsit" is the world leader in the production and export of high-quality anthracite UHG, the volume of production in 2020 fell from 23.7 million tons to 17.6 million tons of coal, and revenue decreased from 125.5 billion rubles to 113.9 billion rubles. In the first half of the year, production increased by 22%, to 10.5 million tons.
